Dear supporters of our petition. Joining forces on social media does pay off! We go for a total ban on dog tethering, so we avoid the suffering that we now saw with these 14 chained dogs. They are now safe. Here is the latest update. Please continue to share our petition! Thank you!

From the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes

“We can confirm that as a result of an enforcement action by Animal Welfare Services we are providing shelter and care for the dogs that were removed at our facility.

Our focus is the health and care of the animals.

We can not answer any further questions about these dogs. Questions about the investigation should be directed to the Ministry of the Solicitor General that is responsible for animal welfare enforcement in the province.”

The adoption process cannot occur until completion of the investigation.

Just know the dogs are safe, warm and are being well taken care of.

Thank you for your understanding and patience

Courtney
