To whom it may concern.

I am a dog groomer and my clients are all needing my assistance in grooming their dogs that's on a regular grooming schedule to stay healthy and clean. As to my understanding it classifies under animal care. Pet cleanliness is a huge part of not just an animals health but also aids to people health. I have a few elderly people that need their pets groomed as they can't do it themselves as well as it's bad for their health to have dirty dogs living in their homes. Their pets nails gets overgrown and in the end scratches their very thin skin open causing unwanted sores that take long to heal and cause unnecessary infections in the end

Also overgrown nails are not good for pets feet.

As for bacteria building up in fur that's not groomed regularly poses health issues for owners on it's own like asthma and if there's smaller children in the household crawling on the floor where the dogs also walks and rest. And once again not good for the dog which causes skin allergies for pet and owners alike. And so the list can go on. So in short it is essential that pets in the household are kept clean for pet and owner health and cleanliness. So my question is where can I get answers who can I contact to help me get this seen to?

I will also be contacting the SPCA in this regard. Your help will be much appreciated.

Last I checked animals also had rights in SA and at the moment SA is failing our animals terribly. They go into depression just as people if they feel dirty and neglected.
