I, my family and people of Derry is calling on the Health Minister to immediately provide an Detox & Addiction Centre for Derry. A detox and addiction centre for Derry is needed! Derry is on its knees due to addiction, mental health, and suicide.

A centre of excellence for addiction could increase the number of residential beds, increase non-residential work, and make sure that pre-treatment & long term after care is given whilst also providing better support services to families and loved ones like mine.

One life lost is one life too many!

My mother passed away on the 16th of January due to addiction. My mother has 3 children all under the age of 18. My 3 uncles and my cousin passed away due to suicide and addiction. Derry is crying out for help this past couple of years and yet we aren’t getting any. Why are we are getting ignored?

Someone I was talking to gave me a good idea maybe to bring the detox centre close to the addiction centre like Northlands and White Oakes so the transition is easier for these people.
