Following the examples of other countries. I am asking the Government provide every man, woman, child and visitor in the UK with a face mask or, better still, a full face mask. This will stop infected people spreading the virus. They have told us that even simple masks are 90% effective. A full face mask would stop the virus completely. Why not make it the law for people to wear them?

Is the Government doing enough to fight the pandemic?

It is clear from the initial infection rates, their recommendations such as hand washing and not touching your face are grossly ineffective. Social distancing has seen a reduction in infection rates. Unlike other countries, the daily new infection reports only show a slow decline in numbers. The record for the UK is the worst in Europe.

A lack of positive action is threatening the NHS, our health, our livelihood, our jobs and our economy. Worse still it risks a second peak in infection rates and the dire consequences this would bring.

In 1939 the Government issued full face gas masks to everybody in the country, why can’t they do it now?
