We at NCS have seen an immediate need to change our education system. Our education system has systemically favoured the wealthier classes over the disadvantaged. We know that the underprivileged are less likely to come out with adequate GCSE’s than their wealthy peers due to static research. Furthermore, in our technologically enhanced world, most of us our still taught the same things as our parents or even our grandparents. We are taught to go to school, get a good education and that will help us get a good life. But the fact of the matter is, school doesn’t get us prepared for life. It teaches us to regurgitate facts in exams that won’t help us in our adult life, and then expects us to thrive. We at team Reiss believe this is wrong. We want to change the education system so we are taught real life skills. We want to make a change so that everyone has equal opportunity and is taught real life skills. So we can all thrive.
