Teenagers between 16-18 are at risk of going untreated for mental health issues. There is a grey area between child and adult services meaning this cohort is often left to slip through the net. Even worse often professionals dismiss teen mental health as simply teenage rebellion and do not refer to the correct organisations to deal with the teens issues. This must change before more teenagers are lost in the system or turn to suicide to escape their mental health struggles.
