Families are unable to sustainably live off zero-hour contracts, one month having enough money and hours, then next no work or income. Unable to get maternity leave, holidays or sick pay, this is a struggle for millions of people.

CBI Head, John Cridland said "These contracts play a vital role as a way of keeping people in employment." Making unemployment figures in the UK fall, making our economy look better does not mean the problem is being resolved.

Many on zero-hours have no feeling of security but they are desperate for work, unable to get an additional job to the small print of their contract. This is just another form of unemployment to many and it needs to stop!

I startd this topic as a Graphics University project but feel it should be pushed further after the research I have gathered and seeing my own mother and friend suffer from low income and zero-hour contracts.
