The Engineering Firm URS has been hired by the City of Los Angeles to design the Road to Nowhere.They have asked for public input (in writing only) on the project. The Taxpayers Against the Road to Nowhere will be asking (in writing) the Engineers the following two questions: What is the current cost range to build Paseo Del Mar over the landslide? Has the cause of the landslide been determined? And if not, how can you guarantee that it won't happen again after this vast expenditure of taxpayer monies? URS has been retained by the City of Los Angeles to provide pre-design, design,and design support services for the restoration project that will stabilize the ground and reconstruct the Paseo del Mar roadway. This informational meeting is being held in advance of any design efforts. The design team welcomes your ideas, suggestions and questions. Your input will help inform the process and the restoration project going forward. At a future meeting,the team will present the design and explain how each input was addressed in the process.
