There is a time deadline on bursting crackers during Divali, the festival of lights. We all need to abide by that strictly. The law says that it is illegal to burst crackers between 10 PM and 6 AM. Now, how many of know this and adhere to this?

The Issue

There are many households having elderly patients, elders having heart ailments and hypertension, just-born babies, infants and small children, who get terribly disturbed by these sudden loud noises, just to name a few. Also many citizens have pets- dogs and cats, who are naturally petrified by these loud noises. Birds in trees go to rest at sundown. The sudden bursting of crackers is even otherwise, is a bane to all such creatures of God, let alone the night. Many birds just drop dead from their nests at these loud noises. Dogs and cats get lost because of disorientation. This is not a new phenomenon. People working for animal and bird welfare will be in a better position to talk about this at length. There is a law restricting the time, passed by the Govt itself.NO BURSTING OF CRACKERS BETWEEN 10 PM AND 6 AM. We must adhere to it for the general good of all. People who are bursting crackers way past midnight, must develop sensitivity towards all around. No one is above the law of the land. We don't require a complaint by an aggrieved neighbour, and a cop at our doorstep to make us realise the importance of a peaceful neighbourhood. Let the festival of lights be a joy for all. Not a nightmare for some helpless individuals and animals. The trees also breathe in oxygen in the night, and let out carbon-di-oxide. Thus, the polluted air will remain in the atmosphere and turn to smog, in those wintry nights. This will give rise to breathing difficulties, allergies and heart ailments. We, human beings, are diurnal by habit and nocturnal by sleep.By following this, we not do whole lot of good to ourselves, but also earn the goodwill of all around. Please help me support this cause for the coming years in the view of protecting the environment for the future generations to come.
