Our community has great concern regarding a very violent crime and a failed justice system. One of our citizens Codi Joyce was murdered at a house party in Munhall Pennsylvania (just outside of Pittsburgh) on September 27, 2015 at the age of 23 years old. Since day one we have known the names of the individuals involved in the brutal beating and murder of Codi yet to this date not a single arrest has been made. 

County officials have been rude, uncaring and disingenuous.  They have valued Codi's life as if it didn't matter. During the one and only meeting the family has had with ADA Kevin Chernosky, he spent over two hours defending the acts of the criminals. Despite overwhelming evidence, to include a confession, they refused to bring the case in front of a grand jury or refuse to bring any charges whatsoever against the perpetrators. 

Our community feels very strongly that someone in the county is covering for one or more of the murderers. We have lost complete faith in the process of our justice system and those that can control the investigation at will with seemingly no oversight. 

 A family and community should never have to go through what we have gone through. For 18 months this community has been on edge, as we remain in disbelief that the individuals that murdered Codi Joyce are still walking the streets. We are pleading for your help with this case and for you to secure a justice for Codi and for our community
