Dear Mr newly elected mayor of Nelson Mandela bay I am a law abiding citizen of this country,with regards to the newspaper article regarding the clamping down of the lowered vehicles on the road which is not the no. 1 priority in the bay, I understand you have alot to deal with, but we as the rate/tax payers of the city have concerns and unanswered questions regarding the unroadworthiness of vehicles with lowered suspensions, what I don't understand is that all the performance parts are purchased at registered businesses who also pays tax.

I've been a petrolhead for many years I love the smell of the fuel and sometimes I wonder if it runs in my vains, with all the above said we as your people of nmb we are not criminals but try to uplift and empower ourselves as we live in tough times and poverty, we always willing to help less fortunate by having car shows where the vehicles just park for the day portions of the profit gets donated to charities of choice, we don't do it for money but for passion and we are young and old we are not disrespectful but disciplined and take pride in what we do

Our vehicles are on the road and licensed which I don't knw where the license fees are going to, our roads are in a terrible state with potholes all over. I humbly request to give us as your people a break we don't want to be afraid to drive our babies to shows and show off our work/passion, to those who do wrong should answer for themselves and not throw the rest of us in the same pot, I am 500 percent sure if you call on us we will be there to support you by the masses and I am also positive that if work together as team we as slamcitizens will make you proud help us please we don't want anything in return but some grace.we won't bother pointing where you will find the most unroadworthy vehicles unfortunately we are better than that to than to point fingers, I guarantee you the citizens will bring pothole nation to how it should be out of our own without the help of the municipality but this will only be possible with team work, we are so humble we don't need recognition or praise we want to do it for everyone traveling on our roads we are flexible we help where we can call on on us we will be there unlike others

Help us identify a venue /yard/space to host a show after this pandemic I guarantee it will be a massive event all proceeds will be used to repair all the potholes in the bay all we need is your support
