It is inhumane to condemn the mentally ill to die in prison. Commute Monica to a parole eligible sentence. She committed murder and attempted suicide during a psychotic break in which she believed she had no other way to save her victims. All the experts who have ever evaluated her agreed that Monica was not fully culpable.
