Graduation is one of the only things I have been looking forward to these past four years. It means so much to me to have a real ceremony in front of everyone that I know and love. My mamaw had passed away last year, and the only reason I have kept trying in school is to make her proud at graduation. She was supposed to be there but she can’t now, and now we’re not even having a real graduation. I know lots of people, myself included would much rather wait as long as we need to to have a real graduation. Everyone else in the world gets this day, so why shouldn’t we? I know there is only a certain amount of things the administration can do but we are willing to wait however long it will take. A virtual graduation will simply mean nothing to me and this breaks my heart. There’ll be plenty of people I’ll never see ever again and I won’t even have the chance to tell them goodbye if we can’t have a real graduation. We started our 12years together, let us finish them together. Please. What would be the point in buying our cap and gown, only for nobody to see us in them?
