Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey to reinstate the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation for Arizona until Sept. 6th, 2021, and by recognizing the severe and diverse economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States temporarily enhanced the federal unemployment insurance (“FPUC”) program.

The ("FPUC") program has served as a vital lifeline for thousands of Arizonians. By prematurely deciding to stop administering these federal benefits, Arizona has violated the clear mandates 0f Arizona’s unemployment statute to secure all rights and benefits available for unemployed Arizonians.

Take such action as may be necessary to secure to this state and its citizens all advantages available under the provisions of the social security act that relate to unemployment compensation, the federal unemployment tax act, the Wagner-Peyser Act, and the federal-state extended unemployment compensation act of 1970;
