Apr 28, 2016 — UPDATE: The PETITION, along with additional supporting documentation of this cause, will be hand delivered to the following individuals at the Massachusetts State House next week for review and further action: 1. Governor Charles Baker. 2. State Representative Todd Smola. 3. Senator Anne Gobi. 4. Senator Eric Lesser. 5. Secretary Matthew Beaton (Energy & Environmental Affairs). We have support from several officials on this topic, and your voices are being heard! This Petition and accompanying documents will provide officials with the objections and concerns that citizens have regarding this project. There will be a meeting on May 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Athol Town Hall. The purpose of this meeting will be to give members of the natural resources committee an opportunity to ask questions of MassWildlife personnel, as well as to hear from selected groups. The Legislature has a fiscal duty to the taxpayers and their understanding of how state resources are being expended. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
