Governor Brian Kemp Chooses Inaction, but We Continue to Fight for Change!

Thank you for supporting this petition.  Sadly, Governor Kemp has chosen inaction. Please read the response from his office.

However, we are moving forward and still fighting for change.  The environmental urgency is far too great for us to stop!  We can’t allow people in the United States to be exposed to harmful, toxic chemicals while State environmental agencies, Governors, federal agencies, and elected officials choose inaction and silence.  

What is going on in Georgia is wrong, and we will fix it!  Breathing shouldn’t be hazardous. Because nothing changes without public demand, we need all the petition signatures that we can get.

Georgia receives federal funding to comply with federal air quality and ozone pollution standards.  Yet, Georgia provides little to no protections from hazardous chemicals released during illegal open burning.  We are waiting for EPA Administrator Michael Regan to respond to the Congressional Inquiry.
