Our janitorial staff working in COVID isolation units are on the front lines of the fight against the Covid pandemic and are vulnerable, essential workers who should be moved to the front of the line of vaccine eligibility. By serving in these units, these staff members are keeping the entire community safe. This inequity needs to be addressed immediately. This is particularly important since this staff often come from and return to highly impacted and vulnerable community.
