The Flat Earth Theory is starting to prove more than just a theory. 

During the past 12 to 18 months many people from all over the plane have begun questioning the true shape of this world we live in. Many have carried out individual tests all in the effort to prove we have been mislead in to believing a false model of the Universe. 

This idea is nothing new. The Flat Earth Society, founded in 1865 has been working hard for many years to carry forward the tradition of being untraditional; to push past the boundaries we impose upon ourselves and discover new truth in doing so. We ask Google to recognise this movement, which has trended over 600% in just the past 12 months, by marking 01/01/2016 as the anniversary of the Flat Earth Movement and changing the Google Doodle image appropriately.

The notion of the Earth being flat dates back to early 245AD and was believed to be the true model of our world until the Heliocentric model was presented by Nicolaus Copernicus in the 16th century. Since we cannot be certain of the exact date the Flat Earth model was presented, we do however know that the Flat Earth Society was started in 1865 and continues to educate and inspire to this day. 

Men and women who choose to think for themselves, who stand up to the face of ridicule and mockery because they truly believe to have found the truth and will not allow any man to stand in their way.

The truth is the truth, whether you like it or not. 

If you are new to the idea of the Earth being Flat, I encourage you, my brothers and sisters, to just give it a chance. Put aside 2 hours of your time to look in to this, I can promise you that you will be more than convinced and will [hopefully] spend many more hours uncovering the Truth.

We believe to have enough evidence to date and many of the more prominent figures within the movement have stated many times, that we are ready to have an open debate with any of the top Scientists in the field today, including Neil D Tyson, Brian Cox and others.

The main reason behind the petition is to raise awareness and encourage everyone to look further in to the topic, because this affects everyone.
