Small content creators are powerless against unjustified suspensions on YouTube, despite pouring years of dedicated, hard work into their channels. 

At 4:00 AM PST on November 2nd, 2021, YouTube suspended content creator Cristina Gomez's YouTube Channel The Paradigm Shifts, a channel that investigates and reports on paranormal mysteries. YouTube provided no clarification to what rules she, or the channel, violated.

After applying for a suspension appeal, she was met with a heartbreaking response where YouTube declared that her account would remain suspended and lackadaisically refused to investigate the situation further.

It is our belief that this is an unjustified suspension after reviewing the community guidelines and terms of service on YouTube. We demand that her channel is reinstated while providing a proper explanation as to why the account was terminated in the first place.

Situations like this cause Content Creators and their communities to lose faith in the stability of the platform. YouTube must do better at communicating and properly investigating channels before terminating years of hard work on a whim.
