This petition is regarding ‘Power Bank app’ which is currently available on Playstore, has been there since February, 2021 and has more than 1 million downloads and 5 million plus users overall, mostly Indians.

During the lockdown, as everyone needed a source of income, power bank app came into the market and everyone started using and investing money in it as it offered some great returns. Through this app, the users recharge or invest money in order to receive a year long fixed hourly income benefit depending upon the amount invested. 

On Monday, May 10, 2021, the app, all of a sudden blocked withdrawal transactions and none of the users received any payments. 
The people behind this are the biggest fraudsters as the might have looted crores of rupees from millions of users and yet they remain anonymous. 

Steps we must follow:

Register an online complaint at National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal: https://cybercrime.gov.in

We must highlight this issue on twitter and other social media platforms using the #POWERBANKSCAM.

Contact our banks and let them know about this scam. There is a slight possibility of refund.

Google India should be held accountable because of the fact that they allow apps like such on Google Playstore. They should monitor them and check how they run the apps.

We demand that these fraudsters should be caught and jailed up for this crime.

Also, the money people invested must be refunded. Some people have invested in thousands and some in lacs. Some have invested their pocket money and some have invested their life savings.
