Emily Andersons started this petition to Google, Inc and

Adobe turned off Adobe Flash in 2020, the platform on which many great games have been built such as Friv, Y8, and Desura. The moment they turned Flash off, many of our favorite online games from our childhood stopped working forever.

Recall that Flash is a technology for creating web applications or multimedia presentations. Also, many cartoons and characters are created on its basis, for example, the once popular in Russia "Masyanya".

Previously, Flash was widely used for creating advertising banners, animations, games, and playing video and audio recordings on web pages. The Flash Player is needed to play Flash content on a user's device - in the absence of one, for example, a video in this format will not work.

Adobe is not the creator of Flash. Futurewave is behind this technology and was originally called Futuresplash Animator. In 1996, Futurewave became the property of Macromedia, and the technology changed its name to Flash. Adobe bought Macromedia in the second quarter of 2005, and with it all of its assets.

By signing this petition, we are asking Google to develop and deploy its own Flash player counterpart for Flash online games, we hope to stop this disaster and preserve the legacy of many of these great websites. Let's save childhood!
