Despite such a lot of background work and lobby was being made with Google through local political channels and through the salient help of our MEPs in Brussels, notably Hon. Zammit Dimech MEP. Zammit Dimech is the MEP in charge of the copyright reform and since 17th October 2017 has addressed Google and its sub YouTube on why Malta has been left out from the YouTube Partner Program during meetings he held in Brussels. The latter has grasped the opportunity to host YouTube in Malta with a free training session to provide us with an opportunity to voice our resentment over the discrimination that we Maltese are suffering. As far as informed by the MEP, YouTube have committed themselves to resolve this long standing issue. At least we managed to get our foot through the door of the Giant...
