As anticipated, the aftermath of the inhumane assassination of investigate journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia has slowed down public signature intake of this petition. Despite such, background lobbying kept ongoing with salient stakeholders. Salient Breakthroughs: 17 October 2017 Brussels: During a meeting with Google Inc. over copyright reforms, MEP Francis Zammit Dimech raised the root cause of this petition with Google Inc. The latter informed that this issue is being tackled. A meeting with all stakeholders is scheduled for the 20 November 2017 to discuss this matter further. Hon. Therese Comodini Cachia informed that since earlier this year, she was in contact with YouTube to overcome this block and hopefully the legal hurdles will be rectified soon. More MPs are now supporting this cause... Apart from the Prime Minister, 18 MPs have now signed the petition and are backing the efforts to tarnish this block.
