Recently, Google in a licensing deal with GettyImages has removed the View Image button from their Image search engine and added a "Images may be subject to copyright" caption below images. This will make it harder for people to view an image in full resolution and possibly force them to enter the website hosting the image, which may be hosting deceptive ads, malware and make the process of getting an image a lot less efficient. By signing this petition, you are telling Google and GettyImages that removing the button will not stop people downloading copyrighted images. What I want to achieve is to either have Google add back the button entirely or have a method for websites and companies such as stock image companies to submit a form on whether or not they want their images to be downloaded in full resolution.
