Google has recently decided to stop allowing advertisements for addiction treatment - although they are continuing to allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise the drugs that caused the opioid crisis to begin with. 

Google never considered the millions of individuals seeking treatment, and the thousands of legitimate businesses that they would be hurting by their decision.  Google should introduce a certification process, similar to the system they use for pharmaceutical companies, to ensure only licensed and accredited treatment facilities are allowed to advertise.
