Convince Google to stop enforcing scoped storage and changes that limit OS functionalities

Il problema

In latest years in new releases of Android, Google started to impose unilateral drastic changes that limit developer possibilities.

This comment is not only by me as Android developer but also by me as Android user, you are turning Android in a limited iOS-like OS.
After blocking call recording access depriving the ecosystem of an important feature, now enforcing scoped storage is another HUGE development limiting change.

Also as user I want to have the ability to work with files and folders directly on path, not only with a scoped collection of files that masks me everything.

If you show what permission an app requires and you have to allow It explicitly making aware the user of what the App can do, it's absurd limiting developer possibilities in such way.

Making OS less powerful and less versatile under the assumption that user could be not careful enough, is the worst way possible to improve safety.

There are tons of situations that make the explicit access to file storage necessary:
- backup apps
- device analysis apps
- security apps
- file managers
- apps that create contents directly on file folders (e.g. an app that extract pictures by  ebook collection and place them in a related subfolder)
- apps that have to work with external SD or OTG paths
- console apps
- remote access apps

In addition, this decision can drastically slow a lot of operations if you have to deal with a very large number of files due to scoped storage overhead.

If you cannot see why working with explicit path is important in many situations, you have a very limited vision and you are going to crush the entire Android ecosystem development that includes also PC, IOT devices, smart home servers not only smartphones (that aren't anymore very limited feature phones).
The OS development should extend the range of possibilities, NOT the other way round.

Note: I know that you can request legacy external storage, the point is that crucial OS feature has been declassed, and It's only a matter of time and will be totally removed in future Android releases unless at Google They totally reconsider this decision.
