Hacking is NOT a Crime started this petition to Google, Inc and

YouTube has a well-known reputation for arbitrarily defining and enforcing its content policies. Recently, this resulted in the removal of several technology and security educational videos, some of which have had their YouTube account banned in response.

Given the historical symbiotic relationship between hacking and technology, and technology's propensity to become an integral part of our everyday lives, we encourage Google and YouTube, both of whom are technology companies, to recognize the importance of understanding technology, its benefits, and its limitations.

We therefore seek to rectify this situation by petitioning Google and YouTube to reconsider their definition of "hacking" as an ethical endeavor of exploration and problem solving, rather than an unethical or malicious one. Accordingly, we also petition Google and YouTube to allow the publishing of said content on their respective platforms.
