Google has decided to decommissions Picasa, despite the fact that it has many users and there are few if any Desktop picture organizers & editors that will fill the void.

Instead of throwing the product and all it's desktop users away,  Google could auction the product off with proceeds to charity, and let another company support those with limited internet who need desktop a picture manager
