As many people in our local area of Meridianville, Hazel Green, New Market, Toney area which is located within 15-20 to our great City of Huntsville, AL, which is one of the fastest-growing areas in Alabama. 

Many of our homes in this area have been ongoing problems with our infrastructure of internet/cable service, and the current internet provider (Mediacomm) in our area, the infrastructure is currently outdated and there are constant internet outages, and when contact is made with the local provider, they refuse to take the proper steps to maintain the proper maintenance of the internet infrastructure, as many of our residences in the area pay on average of $200 a month for service that does not work properly on a consistence basis. 

The residents in our Community of Meridianville, Hazel Green, New Market, Toney area and other surrounding areas are looking to have another choice of the Internet provider, since the covid-19 pandemic, many of us have had to work from home, or even had a child that had to do virtual schooling from home, and having reliable internet service is essential and crucial for all of us in order to do our daily task that is required for the day. As many computer programs are internet-based and meetings done virtually is a crucial element for many homes within our area.

So, with that being said we are looking to petition and request that Google Fiber consider constructing new fiber lines within our community for much better and reliable internet service within our community.
