Racism is a poison and the rhymes like 'Chubby Cheeks' are the root cause for its growth in young minds. It is very clearly, with the use of phrases like "ROSY LIPS, VERY FAIR and EYES SO BLUE', to describe beauty, sets unreal standards of beauty in the minds of the tender children. My cousin, studying in UKG (5 year old child) asked me last week, "Brother, am I not beautiful, I don't have blue eyes and fair skin" (Words of the child are reframed). I was spellbound by the question and instantly read the rhyme and found it to be clearly RACIST. I hope the sensible public will sign the petition and wipe off one of the causes for the rise of racist minds.
