Google have recently (January 2022) announced that G Suite legacy free edition accounts will no longer be available, and that all users must migrate to paid Google Workspace accounts.

Many thousands of users have been using free G Suite legacy accounts for decades, and have their entire digital lives associated with these accounts. This includes email, app and other purchases, photos, calendar, cloud file storage, Youtube uploads, website sign-ins, maps, etc.

At present, Google do not offer any means for G Suite legacy free edition account holders to migrate from these accounts to standard Google (i.e. Gmail) accounts. This means that Google have effectively told account holders "pay a monthly fee from now on, or lose everything". This is unfair and unreasonable.

This petition asks Google to:

- Provide a tool to enable G Suite legacy free edition account holders to migrate these accounts to standard, free Google accounts.

- Delay the removal of the G Suite legacy free tier until this tool has been developed, tested, and made available to users for a reasonable period of time.
