GOODREADS USERS ARE CALLING FOR THE CREATORS TO MAKE SOME CHANGES TO THEIR PLATFORM. It's been around for more than 10 years, yet no updates are being made and the site is as good as broken. Our notifications come days too late or don't come at all. When we want to visit our group sites we are told that the "page is not found". Our reviews can't be seen. Our opinions aren't being heard. Both the website and the app are awkward and outdated and despite the amount of complaints we're making, no changes have been made.

Goodreads is a place where we can find our people. Whatever interests we have, we can find the people who share them and get to feel accepted by a community. We can chat about songs or debate political topics or just rewind after a long busy day. We read books together and share our thoughts on them. We talk with friends all around the world. We get advice about our problems, and get support when we need it most. 

We are a community of over 90 million everyday readers and enthusiasts. We encourage each other. We support each other. We appreciate each other. The very least the creators could do is make this community more habitable for us. WE WANT OUR NOTIFICATIONS TO COME ON TIME. WE WANT OUR REVIEWS TO BE SEEN. WE WANT TO TALK TO OUR FRIENDS. If the creators won't be bothered to at least try, then we'll pack our books, our opinions, and our interests and we'll find someplace else to be. 

This might not be important to you. You might be going through all sorts of more important things in your life and you probably don't see the point in signing this. But it's important to us. We want to protect our safe space. We want to preserve the community where we're free to be ourselves without being judged or patronized. So please. Sign this so we can force the creators of Goodreads into taking this seriously. Into taking us seriously.
