SHUT DOWN GOLDSMITHS FOR COVID19 EMERGENCY

SHUT DOWN GOLDSMITHS FOR COVID19 EMERGENCY

Covid19 has been now declared pandemic. Several European countries have decided to shut down universities and move to online lectures in order to limit the spread of the virus through social distancing.

Although the UK government has not ordered this yet, top universities in London such as Kings College, LSE and UCL have already moved to online lectures.

We ask Goldsmiths to do the same distancing itself from measures that put economy before people’s health.

Goldsmiths is also 20% constituted by international students who in most cases are concerned, will be soon reuniting with their families in home countries, and could not have the chance to attend in-person exams.

We are asking to safeguard our physical and mental well-being by following our demands:

- Interrupt on campus teaching
- Move lectures online
- Consider alternative options to in-person assignments
