This picture is from the hallway in the next building. Everything is just sitting there, the bucket and mop are completely dry, so it's been a while. There's so much that needs to be properly fixed and we get ignored when we bring it up. When they do do something, it's a temporary fix that breaks down again.

During the pandemic, it has gotten worse.They refuse to negotiate with struggling tenants, instead telling them to go to the Rent Bank. This isn't a solution for this ongoing pandemic. Golden Equity insists on collecting on above guideline increases, that haven't been approved by the Landlord Tenant Board and have asked tenants to pay $400 for AC. We pay for hydro, but they insist with harassing phone calls, voicemails and visits to collect on unpaid amounts that they can't justify with paperwork or through the Residential Tenancies Act. Golden Equity thinks their word is law and enough when trying to deal with issues, when you persist, they ghost you.

One tenant has been living in her living room, with her family because of pests, for two months now. The superintendent has gotten dates wrong, not provided a notice of entry in a timely manner and given verbal notice several times. Another tenant's roof is caving in, they have been waiting months for the company to even look at it. Our home is literally falling apart around us. This is not right and not fair. I could go on about all the issues we're facing, but it's about change. It's about being treated fairly and with dignity.
