Gold's Gym needs to institute a No Concealed Weapons policy at all gyms with childcare centers, corporate or franchised.

In early July 2015, a gun was fired inside a Gold's Gym franchise in Clemson, SC. The gun went off two doors down from the childcare room, where my children regularly play. Despite concerned calls and questions from many members, the gym and Gold's Gym Corporate tried to claim the event was inconsequential since concealed firearms are legal, the shot was accidental, and there are no weapons policies for franchised gyms. 

Currently, Gold's Gym corporate locations ban concealed firearms, but their franchisees can make their own choices about gun restrictions. We ask that Gold's Gym Corporate follow the lead of businesses across the country who are banning concealed weapons at all of their locations. When we see the Gold’s Gym logo, we should know it’s a safe place for our families, regardless of who owns the gym.

Therefore, we ask that Gold's Gym Corporate BAN CONCEALED WEAPONS from all gyms with childcare centers, corporate or franchise, so that no one has to fear for their safety or the safety of their children while at a gym.
