This petition is for the SE Qld residents of Alberton, Woongoolba, Gilberton, Norwell, Jacobs Well, Steiglitz, Ormeau, Pimpama, Coomera, Eagleby, Beenleigh, Loganholme, Cornubia and Carbrook and anywhere else in the area who may be impacted and subjected to something this awful. This is a disgrace. It's time to fight back and make sure this nightmare scenario never plays out in this great land!

Qld residents, we urgently need your help!

The residents of peaceful Alberton (near Jacobs Well, Coomera, Pimpama and Beenleigh) have been unfortunate enough to have a Mega speedway complex proposal dumped in their backyard.

Alberton is a beautiful town of farmers and fisherman and horse enthusiasts who live on acreage properties because they enjoy a lifestyle of peace and serenity.

We encourage anyone to drive down Loves Rd, Zipfs Rd, Ageston Rd, Rotary Park Rd etc (Exit 38 off the M1) and take in the fresh country air, take a long hard look at the beautiful acreage homes, some of them have been here for over 150 years. There are generations of farming families here. Then take in the peace and serenity and tell us if you still think dumping a Mega Speedway here is a good idea.

These speedway people are sadly using our location as a financial driver and we do not want this in our town or in this area under any circumstances. This green zone area is often refered to as the 'lungs of the gold coast'.. A speedway would be it's cancer!

The noise coming from 900 horsepower speedway sprint cars, monster trucks, motor cross bike racing, drift and skid tracks and a drag strip for hoons will utterly destroy our town and other neighbouring suburb's way of life. The impact of nuisance noise on people is well documented. It has adverse effects on the mental health of people, which in turn effects physical health and well being. Not to mention ruining our property values and our childrens inheritences.

Just who the Heck wants to live near a Speedway?

Noise from these vehicles has been said to be heard up to 15 KILOMETRES AWAY! That’s thousands of residents adversely effected, not just those of Alberton, Woongoolba, Gilberton and Stapylton.

We need your support to help keep them away!

Please sign our petition, we need as many signatures as possible to help keep this in the industrial area it currently sits at in Archerfield.

Nobody wants a speedway in their backyard. You would not want this in your backyard in a million years! We need all the locals to sign up and oppose this insanity.
