Paid parking is about to be introduced at some of the Gold Coast's most popular beaches. A charge of $1.50 per hour (This rate could also rise in future) with a maximum of 3 hours parking will be enforced at Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach. This will have a great impact on all local residence who on top of paying premium rates will now have to pay to park at their local beach. The residence weren't even consulted about this, as the council voted on it in secret and it wasn't approved until it was locked in!! WE WANT OUR BEACHES FREE! Please sign this petition and stand up to the council! Lets make change happen and tell the council how we really feel!
