This update is due to the recent appearance of the actual shooter’s brother and the one person responsible for Lanissa’s death. Curtis Middlebrooks was in the vehicle that Lanissa drove that night he sat in the rear seat middle seat, sadly he is no longer with us. It is important to focus on where he was sitting at the time of the incident because of the direction of the entrance wound on the victim. Curtis was well aware that Mr. Grier was innocent and  in fact had not shot Lanissa; he repeated it many times till the last day of his life. According to his brother who is and has been recently, willingly, speaking about his deceased brother’s account of the incident. Curtis all along was aware that he misfired his weapon during the  turmoil of the night he ended Ms. Lanissa’s life. He unpremeditatedly blurted it out during Mr. Grier’s trial, then quickly corrected himself.

In lines 2 through 7 page 162 of the transcript in the trial of August 1999 Mr. Middlebrooks nervously and unknowingly confessed to the shooting and made it known of his awareness of her death and the cause of death. I invite you the reader to please look at the attach pages where he speaks of his actions.

The attach page I have taken from the actual court transcript found in the possession of The Superior Court Of Bibb County State of Georgia and County Clerk this is an official piece of information to once again prove that Carlos Grier is innocent and has been incarcerated for 25  years plus without any evidence to prove he is guilty. Twenty Five years plus making it half of his life been held without him been responsible for the death of the victim. Twenty five years of family life taken away from his loved ones including his children who have had to grow without a father.

Please I am asking you the reader to write to The State Board of Pardons and Paroles of Georgia and ask them to allow Mr. Grier to gain his freedom.
