Grier TrustGA, United States

Lanissa's older sister has spoken about the case recently to Mr. Grier’s mother after attempting to contact her on several occasions throughout the years and failing to communicate to her what she for so long knew about her sister’s death. Ms.Tharpe who identified the body of her sister has communicated that she knows for a fact that  Carlos Grier is not responsible for her sister’s death. According to the state of Georgia the entrance wound was on the right side temple above the ear. Ms.Tharpe has brought to our attention that she clearly remembers observing her sister’s body and in fact she saw the entrance wound on the right side behind right at the hairline. Something that the pathologist also stated several times during the first stages of the trial when questioned by the defense attorney in which he did not get far into explaining in his own words or was ever allowed to further developed in detail since the dialogue was interrupted by the DA and the judge and instead directed him to focus on an exhibit for a second time putting a shadow on the facts that he observed during his autopsy results. She has made it clear that who ever shot her sister shot her from the back and not in the direction of the passenger where Mr. Grier sat during the tragedy.
Ms. Virginia Tharpe has also spoken about the pictures that were presented to the family and during the trial of Mr. Grier’s sentencing she stated that according to those images the vehicle that her sister was driving during the shooting had bullet holes all over, providing evidence that in fact on that night the group received shots from many different directions. Something Mr. Grier's defense attorney failed to show during the trial and that the state never considered during the sentencing. That One bullet hole found on the roof of the car which was utilized by the forensic’s representative to stage how the shooting was done also misused because according to Ms. Tharpe she clearly remembers seeing the hole coming from the inside and towards the outside, unlike what the forensics team claimed it coming from the outside of the vehicle. Ms. Tharpe has stated this is one thing she never forgot and had her wondering for many years, who had in fact killed her sister because in her heart she always knew it was not Mr. Grier. This is why she contacted the DA on several occasions pleading her to look at the case more closely.
