I started this goat project for my daughter three and a half years ago, because she is in a 4H group and wanted to get goats. After, doing my research and asking local ordinance officer if we could have goats in Village of Lacona, he said yes, because there is no Zoning. This new local law was made after having our animals. These goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association and they are our pets. They are shown at our local fair and this year my daughter showed and won a trophy for Junior Goat Showmanship. We walk our goats on leashes and they all have names. We have Sasha, Grace, Ladybug and Teal.
