This is important because the food options on campus are deteriorating! We are upset that Pilot House is a mere shell of what it was last year, with the quality and variety of food options taken away. Further, we are upset with Southside being closed completely on the weekends, with late night also being changed. This is particularly unfair to the freshmen as their meal plans limit their options to southside, ikes and the globe. Ikes and Globe are far away for many freshmen, in addition to the fact that Southside is closed on the weekends! Freshmen plans are also more expensive than prior plans. They are essentially paying more for less!  Ikes also will become extremely crowded on the weekends and at night, which will make getting food very inconvenient. Further, the new eye scanning policy will make lines longer, less efficient and much slower. This is all compunded by the fact that prices at Southside and in the Johnson Center were raised, making a meal swipe worth even less.  All this was done with very little notice, as we, the students, received very vague and limited information on the specifics of these changes. One of the primary objectives of a university should be to feed its students fairly and conveinently! And we feel these new changes are not encouraging those objectives!
