GM, Holden: Retire The Australian car names like Commodore
The issue
There will never be another Holden, only badge engineered vehicles from other GM brands. Cars that aren't Australian should not carry the names of cars that have played a huge part in our Automotive history and culture.
The news that the Commodore name would be carried on was disappointing and shows General Motors have no understanding of the Holden heritage they will be tarnishing. The "brand new" Opel sourced Commodore will arrive in February 2018, just months after GM closes the doors on Holden manufacturing.
By signing this petition, you will show GM that an imported car carrying an Aussie Holden name is not something you would buy!
No more Commodore!
No more Monaro!
No more Torana!
No more Kingswood!
No more Statesman!
No more Ute!
Let these iconic Australian Holdens remain Australian for life!
