Donna Eskenazi has been a beyond dedicated volunteer for the animals of Glynn County Animal Control (GCAC). She is the creator of the locally viral Facebook page, Friends of Glynn Co. Animals, which has led to the adoption or transport of many animals through strong marketing and fundraising efforts. Donna's absence from the shelter means the Facebook page will be deactivated. We have to change this so that the animals continue to be marketed toward adoption. The reason she was pushed to resign from the shelter is because she is a major supporter of the local effort towards GCAC working to become a NO-KILL facility. The powers that be at the shelter are fighting the many community supporters tooth and nail to keep things the way they are at the shelter, where fewer than 20% of the animals who go in ever make it out alive. Ousting Donna has been one of the most egregious acts on the part of GCAC against people like Donna who have dedicated themselves to the animals. We have to help her keep the page running along with her countless other contributions. GCAC affiliates, staff or otherwise, we want you to respect & appreciate ALL of your volunteers (who are also tax payers). Hard, honest work for a charitable cause should not be punished.
