In February, Gloucestershire County Council set their budget for 2019. In this budget we want to see more investment in cycling - making a safe route for bikes along the A419. 

Safe cycling infrastructure:

• Reduces congestion and air pollution
• Enables the adoption of healthy lifestyles which would allow GCC to meet the aims of its public health strategy
• Reduces CO2 emissions
• Provides a sense of freedom, independence and joy to all.

Signatories to this petition are calling for:

• the provision of a choice of transport options to all, especially those unable to drive through age, circumstance or disability.
• the introduction of an off-road, continuous, protected, segregated cycle track on the A419 between Stroud and Chalford.
• Gloucestershire County Council and other stakeholders to make funding and support available for this to become a reality.
