Glorieta Pass Wildlife Corridor

Glorieta Pass Wildlife Corridor

The Issue

The Glorieta Pass has been identified as a priority wildlife-vehicle collision hotspot by the New Mexico Wildlife Corridors Action Plan, in 2022.

Travel in this area is an extreme hazard to citizens traveling for work and leisure because of vehicle collisions with wildlife. In addition, the daily loss of wildlife animals impacts and threatens the natural habitat of the area.

As concerned citizens, we are petitioning and requesting; the Glorieta Pass Wildlife Corridors Action Plan, commences without delay. By setting the Corridors Action Plan in place, citizens will have a safer driving experience because of the reduction of vehicle collisions with wildlife.

Please, accept the following petition as proof of the impact to citizens as well as our desire to have the Glorieta Pass Wildlife Corridor Plan come to fruition in a timely manner.
