We need an unprecedented collaboration between the people of the world to suppress the coronavirus pandemic in time. 

Rapid, unified action will be most effective in protecting lives, communities, and the global economy in the long-term.  

We therefore call for a 30-day planetary pause of all non-essential work and activities to buy time, save lives, and treat those already infected, as well as rapidly scale up testing and production of medical supplies.

We ask the governments of the world to enact this shutdown and minimize financial disruptions as well as ensure adequate money, food, and care for those most at risk.   

China showed it is possible for 1.38 billion people to triumph over the virus and now the other 6.4 billion citizens of the world need to act as one with social distancing to ensure our long-term health and the saving of tens of millions of lives.
