Fourteen-year-old climate activist Genesis Butler attended a UN Food Systems Pre-Summit last month to learn more about the global dairy industry’s environmental efforts. However, Butler was removed from the Zoom session after raising questions about theenvironmental impact of dairy compared to plant-based milk.

The session was organized by the Global Dairy Platform and was part of the affiliated program. It was called ‘Raising the Climate Ambition for the Global Agriculture Sector: An Approach From Dairy’. After raising her concerns of the dairy industry and their impact on the environment, they kicked her out of the zoom session. 

Since the age of 10, Genesis participated in her own Ted talk to bring awareness to the current environmental crisis and who/what has been making the largest impact. 

Let us sign this petition to make Global Dairy Platform and UN Food Systems Summit, give a stage to Genesis to hear her out and listen to her ideas on how they can help curve their negative impact on the environment!
