Failing to act perpetuates suffering and sets a precedent for future violations worldwide.

Now is the moment to demand justice. The evidence of Bashar al-Assad’s crimes, including documented chemical attacks, mass graves, and survivor testimonies, is irrefutable. Saydnaya Prison, known as the “human slaughterhouse,” has become a symbol of the regime’s brutality, where tens of thousands of detainees have been tortured, starved, and executed in secret. Amnesty International reports that at least 13,000 people were hanged at Saydnaya between 2011 and 2015 alone, with many buried in mass graves to hide the regime’s crimes. Every day that passes without action emboldens those who commit similar atrocities worldwide. By holding Bashar al-Assad accountable, the international community can honor the victims, restore hope to millions of Syrians, and reinforce the principle that no one is above the law. Immediate action is essential to ensure justice and prevent further suffering.
