In the spirit of constructive dialogue and respect for due process, concerns regarding recent media terminology — specifically the use of the phrase “Cha Eun-woo Prevention Act” in association with Representative Jeong Yeon-wook's proposed bill of 01 March 2026 to strengthen accountability of entertainment agencies— have been formally submitted to the Korea Press Arbitration Commission for review. Our submission focuses on ensuring that reporting remains consistent with the principle of presumption of innocence while acknowledging that the related tax matter remains under administrative review.

We have also communicated respectfully with the People Power Party and with Representative Jeong Yeon-wook, whose proposed legislative amendment has been referenced in media coverage. In our correspondence, we emphasized the importance of distinguishing systemic regulatory reform from any implication of predetermined individual wrongdoing.

Our intention is not to challenge legitimate legislative discussion or lawful investigative procedures. It is to encourage balanced reporting and careful use of language so that public-interest journalism and individual rights are both upheld.
