As a high school student who has taken final exams in the past, I can say with confidence that it is stressful, overwhelming, and is truly exhausting. Due to COVID, our lives have been derailed, we can't see our friends and family, we can't go out for fun, and everything is closed down- including schools. I did not expect zoom school to be this difficult and after talking with all of my teachers I can say that they weren't expecting it to be such a challenge either. Schoolwork takes longer to learn and comprehend, completing the work takes longer to do, following directions is harder because of the unstable internet that everyone depends on. Many students have additional environmental challenges that can distract them such as watching their younger siblings or are working in a house with multiple zooms going at once. All these things together or apart can be very stressful. If we can dismiss finals during e-learning, than students will not be nearly as stressed about something that will make or break their grade. Imagine you spent your entire winter break studying, you are trying to focus on your math final and your little brother is screaming at the TV in the  other room, your dog is barking at the mailman, and you are trying to focus on the problem and th-- 

Your computer glitches and you lost wifi. Five minutes later, after you restarted the router for the 5th time today and your computer finally loads, you see that you got kicked out of your final... That's a zero and a two letter deduction in the grade book. Please sign this petition so the students at the Glenbrook 225 high schools don't have to go through this painful experience.
